PRODUCT  FEATURES:

You bought a Volkswagen, and now the dealer is telling you that adding a CD changer will cost major bucks. Here's a solution — the USA SPEC SCD-VW44 6-disc changer/adapter package can be connected to select Volkswagen-built radios with CD controls.

The radio in select 2001-up Volkswagens (Eurovan, Beetle) will control this changer. The high-quality 6-disc changer needs no wire splicing or confusing modifications — one end of the included adapter cable plugs into the Volkswagen radio behind the dash, and the other end is run to the changer location.

The SCD-VW44 6-disc changer will connect directly** to the factory radio in the following vehicles:

• 1998-2004 Cabrio. (A cable is included for this vehicle.)

• 1998-2003 Beetle. (A cable is included for this vehicle.)

• 2003-2004 Beetle Convertible.  The CDL-VWB Cable is necessary.  (Some 1998 & 1999 vehicles with the BOSE or PREMIER radios that have a 13-Pin DIN plug in trunk are NOT compatible with the SCD-VW44.)

• 2001-2004 EuroVan.  The CDL-VWB Cable is necessary.  (Some 1998 & 1999 vehicles with the BOSE or PREMIER radios that have a 13-Pin DIN plug in trunk are NOT compatible with the SCD-VW44.)

• 1998-2004 Golf. (A cable is included for this vehicle.)

• 1998-2004 GTI. (A cable is included for this vehicle.)

• 1998-2004 Jetta. (A cable is included for this vehicle.)

• 1998-2004 Passat. (A cable is included for this vehicle.)

• 2004 Touareg. (A cable is included for this vehicle.) NOTE: Although the VW Touareg is pre-wired to a right rear compartment area, the SCD-VW44 will NOT fit properly into this compartment area.  Another location must be selected.
